Completion of accredited nursing school with requisite clinical hours required. Direct patient care experience preferred. License: Registered Nurse (Single State) or Multi-state Compact Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS Instructor Must-Have: - Ability to read, write, and speak English - Basic computer skills to support clinical care - Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills - Excellent customer service skills - Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies - Excellent time management and critical thinking skills Job Description: - Ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high quality and safe patient care. - Practice in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders, supported by a shared governance model. - Uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Professional Nurse Practice Act and implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards by the American Nurses Association. - Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practice and analytical thinking, ensuring care is coordinated through effective partnerships. - Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that adapts service delivery to reflect cultural diversity and population-specific characteristics. - Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality care, promoting a respectful and inclusive clinical environment. - Participate in and support performance improvement, research, and shared governance activities at all levels. - Serve as a preceptor or mentor for other nurses and staff to ensure a qualified workforce. - Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement, participating in value analysis for evaluating patient care products. - Proactively plan for patient care across the continuum, collaborating with care managers and health care team members to achieve best practice outcomes. - Support the efficient and effective use of human and material resources. - Comply with all policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
